Colour Mixing with Megan MacDonald
R&F Pigment SticksAbout This Experience
Join us at Opus Granville Island with Megan MacDonald for an R&F Pigment Stick demonstration that offers a relaxed environment where participants can see and experience Pigment Sticks.
Topics covered include how R&F Pigment Sticks allow artists to explore traditional and alternative methods of painting with oil by enabling them to draw or paint directly onto a surface with immediacy and fluidity; what Pigment Sticks are (pigment and linseed oil); health and safety when working with Pigment Sticks (including proper disposal of oil-soaked rags and paper towels); appropriate supports and tools; transparent vs. opaque Pigment Sticks; mono-printing, mark making and colour mixing.
The demonstration will focus on exploring the versatility of the R&F Pigment Stick sets and colour mixing. As time allows, additional techniques, including cold wax, Gelli plates, etc., will be addressed.
This event will include a try-it station with event-related materials and surprise giveaways for attendees after the artist's presentation!
