I recently purchased this thinking it was a good idea. Once I opened it, I thought it was kind of cheap looking. I tried to take the orange end off to put another colour because you can change the colour according to the charcoal you put into the stylus, but I couldn't get it off, so I thought that was not a big dealbreaker, so I left it on orange. I took the orange charcoal out and tried to get it into the stylus. Well the charcoal is square and the stylus is round. To squish it in was very difficult. It shaved off the edges of the charcoal and then it broke. It was really hard to get it into the stylus. That was the dealbreaker for me. I have never returned anything to Opus in my 40 years of dealing with them, but this had to go back. It wasn't cheap. I have another stylus pencil from KohINor that is metal and has a claw that opens up to grab their refills and it is much better, weighted, all metal, and the refills of lead are round into a round stylus. It is very easy to refill compared to this Nitram one. It is also cheaper than this one even though I had to buy everything separate, it still worked out cheaper all together. Don't waste your money on this one. Nitram's water based charcoal in a tin on the other hand is a brilliant idea and it appears to work fine.
