Initially introduced in the 1930s by Eberhard Faber, the Blackwing pencil has been revived by Palomino once again to offer its firm and smooth performance to writers, animators and everyday users in an iconic and recognizable design. Crafted using the finest materials, from its wood casing to its graphite core, Blackwing pencils truly are in a league of their own.
The Palomino Blackwing Pearl is the latest addition to the Blackwing family of pencils, notebooks, and lifestyle products. It features a pearl white finish, black imprint and eraser, and a balanced and smooth graphite core that is softer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing 62, but firmer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing. Its unique and iconic ferrule allows you to extend and replace its eraser after extensive use and even "hack" your pencil to give it a custom look.
Blackwing’s sustainably harvested, genuine Incense-cedar casing provides superior sharpening performance and the Japanese graphite core features a special formulation of graphite and clay for optimum smoothness. A custom-designed eraser clip holds your eraser in place, letting you extend it as you use the pencil.
In addition, a portion of the sales from all Blackwing products benefit the Blackwing Foundation, which funds and develops arts and music education.
