A highly refined essential oil used to dilute oil colours and for the cleaning of brushes. Turpentine is a flammable liquid which should only be used in well ventilated areas. For any recipes containing dammar, turpentine is the most appropriate solvent. It is a highly volatile solvent for thinning oils and mediums. It has a characteristic odour, and is a stronger solvent than mineral spirits. Thickens upon exposure to air and light. Should be stored in full bottles in the dark. Avoid long storage.

Great for Varnish Removal

I have used this product to remove varnish. I successfully removed the varnish while not removing the paint. It works great but needs to be used in a well ventilated place. Very strong odour.
