About This Experience

Join artist, curator, historian, and adventure traveller Wayne Wilson for an excellent primer on starting a travel journal and keeping your epic travel memories alive.  Your personal 'story' is essential, and one simple and fun way to start telling your story is through your travels.

At this event, you will learn about packing a kit, essential documentation, the best time of day for entries and advice for picking a journal well suited for creating wonderful travel entries and sketches!  There will also be plenty of time for questions, and the event will be packed with inspiration.

Wayne has been keeping travel Journals for years and teaching about them live and online. Join this fun look at keeping your very own Journal—even if you're not Picasso or Hemingway!

Wayne Wilson is an artist and former museum executive with a passion for drawing, painting, and wilderness paddle trips. They have spent over a decade as the Executive Director of the Kelowna Museums in British Columbia. Following this, they dedicated more time to their artistic pursuits and explored various wilderness trips, which inspired them to keep a Travel Journal. Their goal is to inspire others to document their own journeys and experiences through sketching, writing, and painting, creating a lasting legacy for future generations to enjoy.
