Science Worldly Reflections with Sonia Mocnik
Watercolour Masking TechniquesAbout This Experience
Sonia's watercolour demonstration for Science Worldly Reflections will explore using masking fluid techniques, as well as show how to mix primary and other colours to obtain colours identified in the reflections. She will talk about taking photos, sketching on site, painting plein air and then taking all the information back to create her watercolours in the studio. More techniques will be observed, such as the glazing of watercolours for the water reflections. Some compositions will be discussed, and tips on painting boats and leaving the whites in watercolour will be provided.
