Opus x City of Coquitlam

Paint in the Park at Como Lake

We’re proud to partner with the City of Coquitlam on a simple idea: give artists a space to create, and they will.

This summer, Como Lake Park is home to a new Artist Pavilion—a covered, open-air structure designed for anyone who wants to make art in the fresh air. It’s part of Paint in the Park, a community program that invites creativity into one of Coquitlam’s most scenic spaces. Whether you're a curious beginner or a lifelong painter, the Pavilion is yours to use—free, unstructured, and open daily from early June through mid-September.

🎨 Free Artist-Led Workshops

Alongside the open space, the City is hosting a series of guided art workshops led by local artists and sponsored by Opus. Supplies are provided and all ages are welcome—but space is limited, so be sure to register early.

Upcoming Sessions:

  • Tuesday, June 17 – 2:00–4:00 pm

  • Saturday, June 21 – 10:00 am–12:00 pm

Why We’re Involved

At Opus, we believe creativity should be visible. That it deserves space. And that it thrives when artists come together. Supporting the city of Coquitlam's new Artist Pavilion at Como Lake Park is just one way we’re supporting art in the community in a way that make creativity welcoming, natural, and part of everyday life.

So grab a sketchbook, bring a friend, or join a workshop—Como Lake Park is waiting.
