I'm particular.
I am a pencil user, wooden and mechanical, and always choose 2B or 3B lead. These are Staedtler Mars and deliver what they are supposed to: softer lead that doesn't break too easily. I slightly prefer the Koh-I-Noor --maybe it's just the color but certainly these hold a fine sharpening from a Long Point Automatic KUM sharpener. (It is called an Automatic Long Point but it is a small hand held.) A very good pencil.
