Is Pacon a good paper for proofing intaglio prints?

In general, yes. It takes being damp reasonably well but it is short fibred and a bit stiff, so it doesn't always get into the deep lines of the plate to pick up the ink and will sometimes buckle at the edges of the plate. It is super cost effective though and if you are just doing a general proof, works well. It is very white. Would not consider it for a final "good" proof though.

Pacon Bright White paper, 80#

This is terrific paper-- Smooth for drawing and other uses, sturdy enough for wet media. Inexpensive-- use the whole 18x24" sheet or any cut-down size. What I want is 9x12" so with each full 49-cent sheet cut into four, that's 12 cents per sheet. Great for sketching, making into accordion books, collage, acrylic paint. Highly recommended! -- Sue Wheeler
