Un cadre avec profondeur et style !
Le cadre Luna Shadow offre une présentation digne d'un archiviste d'œuvres d'art sur papier, panneau et carton. Son espaceur de 1,27 cm ajoute de la profondeur intérieure, permettant ainsi un montage flottant ou un encadrement bord à bord.
Conçu par David van Berckel, président d'Opus, ce cadre polyvalent permet le montage flottant et l'encadrement bord à bord des œuvres. Une entretoise amovible en résine est insérée entre le verre et le passe-partout arrière, ajoutant de la profondeur intérieure pour mettre en valeur les ombres et les lumières de votre œuvre tout en la maintenant à une distance sécuritaire du verre, sans passe-partout.
Le format ombre est idéal pour présenter des œuvres avec des surfaces ou des bords en relief que vous souhaitez mettre en valeur, comme des œuvres sur papier chiffon, panneau ou carton, techniques mixtes et photographies vintage.
Comment assembler:
- Déterminez le sens d'accrochage du cadre. Retirez les deux anneaux en D supplémentaires situés en haut et en bas du cadre. Retirez les clips EZ de l'arrière du cadre à l'aide d'un tournevis plat et mettez-les de côté.
- Retirez le support Coroplast et le tapis arrière.
- Insérez votre illustration en utilisant l’une des options suivantes :
Option 1 : Montage flottant
Découpez un morceau de carton-mousse ou de passe-partout de 2,5 cm de largeur et de hauteur inférieures à l'œuvre d'art que vous ferez flotter. Fixez le morceau découpé au passe-partout arrière avec du ruban adhésif d'encadrement sans acide, puis fixez l'œuvre d'art sur cette plateforme surélevée.
Option 2 : montage bord à bord/directFixez votre œuvre directement sur le passe-partout arrière à l'aide de ruban adhésif d'encadrement sans acide. Vous pouvez utiliser un passe-partout en le plaçant directement sur votre œuvre ou entre la vitre et l'entretoise. Par ailleurs, une œuvre de même dimension que le cadre semblera encadrée bord à bord lorsque l'entretoise sera remise en place.
Option 3 : MatVous pouvez utiliser un passe-partout en le plaçant directement sur votre œuvre d'art. Fixez-le en haut avec du ruban adhésif en lin, en laissant les côtés et le bas libres pour éviter que le tableau ne se déforme. Vous pouvez également placer un passe-partout entre la vitre et l'entretoise en fixant votre œuvre directement sur le passe-partout arrière avec du ruban adhésif d'encadrement sans acide.
- Pour remonter le cadre, insérez le verre, l'œuvre d'art et la configuration des composants (Options 1 ou 2) choisies, ainsi que le support Coroplast. Enfoncez fermement l'extrémité crochetée des clips EZ dans la rainure située au dos du cadre pour fixer tous les composants. Accrochez et admirez !

Used this for a special print with vintage stamp imagery. The shadow box effect gives the artwork breathing room and makes the colors stand out. Looks way more expensive than it is. Highly recommend for anyone framing meaningful pieces
The frame package was just what I wanted. It was very easy to mount my piece of art and put the frame back together again. This is the 2nd time I've used the Luna Frame.
Love the floating effect. My only wish is for a wider range of sizes made available. (By the manufacturer, Opus has a generous stock of any size in repertoire)
Good quality frame. The only suggestion is that the mat board could be whiter without any flecks.
I've bought several over time. They are perfect for needlework framing. I mount the needlework frame matte cut out. These really highlight and create a wonderful affect.
It makes my granddaughters picture look awesome. It was a great purchase for what I needed it for.

Opus Luna shadow box frames are my go to for framing all of my linocut prints. I love that you can place work right up against the glass, or have it set back in the frame. The simple design allows the artwork to take centre stage. These frames are well constructed, and provide a great alternative to custom framing.
This is a great ready-made, but please consider making a larger size to be 20x26 ready made (ideally 21x26 for digital paper sizes 18x22 ) I have bought a few18x24 Luna shadow black frame as its the only larger sizes you have that or the 24x24 (which is an odd size to have.) The digital papers come in 17 inches across 17 x 22 is the largest cut paper. And the printers that most folks (for pro; smallest usable size and for amateur; largest home use,) would have. Unless they’re going into a 24in. then must get custom frame anyway. And I would buy a lot of these and I think many many other folks would. There would be high demand for this. It would make our lives easier And we would really appreciate it.

I have been shopping at Opus since 1986.
I love this frame so... freaking... much. But the price of an 8x10 has gone up 40% in the past six months. It was $32.10 in May 2022. Is now $52.10 in December 2022. What the?! C'mon Opus, throw us a bone, please.
