Most disappointing is that the slim depth size of Opus cradle panels have been reduced from 1 inch wide to 3/4 inch wide, a definite difference noticeable, to me, when hung. The deep depth size has also been reduced from 2 inch to 1 and 1/2 inch. However on inspection, Opus cradle panels are top notch quality.

Expensive and not worth the price for the quality. Unfortunately this wood panel was cheaply made, assembled and had lots of little shavings that were untreated. For this price, I would expect something a bit nicer. There are better and more comparable products made in Canada or from Canadian art supply sellers. I don’t appreciate businesses that overcharge for something that is marketed as premium or local for the sake of it.

I love using these canvases for all my projects and art. The hold up well and the paint and mediums adhere really well.

I have used these products since the late 1970’s, dealing with Opus in Victoria.

Deciding to further explore the world of image collage, we visited the Langley location, regarding proper base gear (panels, adhesives, wash prep for the panel, cutting and finishing tools, and cutting mats).

The artists on staff were considerate and helpful. In fact there is a collage artist on staff that was on the job that afternoon; she generously gave us her time as a materials savant and end creator in the medium. Her work is displayed on the shop walls, along with other examples of artworks by various staff. A "See and Do" idea for customers, creating a positive example of the available knowledge at hand in the shop. The gear we purchased is all well advised industry quality standard. We are pleased with the hour spent, the advice received and the entire experience.

We will return to Opus Langley for further assistance and unreservedly commend the experience we had; and support a visit by others interested in producing and framing art. Thanks.
