Mixed media paper with divided opinions. One customer praised it as "excellent paper for almost any media" with good tooth for pencils and smooth enough for fine detail work. However, another reported severe pilling issues even with minimal water. Works well with dry media, pens, and light washes, but may struggle with wet techniques.

It’s got great quality paper for all media

It’s got great quality paper for all media. I love the size and the fact it opens flat. Great sketchbook.

The paper pills with even restrained amounts of water brushed on. Worse than any of the dozen or so sketchbooks I’ve used - which aren’t labelled “mixed media”. Very disappointed.

Beautiful and affordable paper for almost anything!

This is an excellent paper for almost any media. It has just enough tooth to grab coloured pencil and other dry media like graphite and conte but is smooth enough to create fine detail work with pens like Micron or Winsor & Newton Fineliners without dulling their nibs immediately. Gelly Roll pens also layer nicely and dry moderately, giving you enough time to blend if you need. Similar to all other mixed media pads I've tried, light washes of watercolour also absorb nicely, but too much water isn't recommended. I also found Lamy fountain pens quite nice on here, even scratchier nibs such as the calligraphy nib. With fountain pen ink I did not see any feathering.

My two pieces of advice are: when using really juicy markers such as the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, you will find slight feathering/spiderwebbing. Its really not that noticeable in the end result, but when laying down the first line I was a little surprised. Secondly, when using Posca Markers you have to be careful to not press too hard or layer too much while the paint is still drying as the paper does start to pill. This isn't an uncommon occurrence for mixed media paper and Posca though.

For the price and the amount of pages you get, this paper is a no brainer
