Opus Essential Black Gesso offre une excellente opacité, couverture et adhérence grâce à ses niveaux élevés de carbone, de grains de calcite et de résine acrylique.

Ce gesso souple et résistant à l'eau est un excellent apprêt pour toiles de coton ou de lin, bois et papier, en préparation à la peinture acrylique et à l'huile. Il est également idéal pour créer une sous-couche sur une toile blanche enduite de gesso et peut être laissé apparent pour former un fond.

Sa couleur noire profonde et sa finition mate se prêtent parfaitement à la création de paysages saisissants et de portraits en clair-obscur mélancoliques. Donnez du peps à vos tableaux en utilisant des peintures vives, interférentielles ou métalliques, des stylos gel ou des marqueurs acryliques. Des couleurs transparentes mêlées à une touche de blanc donneront un rendu riche et profond sur une surface noire.

Mode d'emploi : À l'aide d'un pinceau ou d'un rouleau, appliquez le gesso sur une surface propre. La première couche peut être diluée avec de l'eau (1:1) pour une dispersion optimale. Appliquez 2 à 4 couches de gesso, en laissant sécher complètement entre chaque couche.

Attention : ne pas laisser en cas de gel.

Black gesso primer praised for excellent coverage and surface quality. Customers said it creates a great tooth/grain for painting and works well with acrylics and pastels. One customer received a previously opened jar with missing product. May cause temporary warping during drying but flattens when dry.

The gesso had been previously opened and about 2

The gesso had been previously opened and about 2 inches of gesso was missing. There was no paper/plastic covering top to peel off. The cap turned easily so that should have been my first clue but this had never happened to me before because I had always trusted Opus.
I have bought jars in the past,(look at my history of purchases) so this was obvious a return you took back before putting it on the shelf for re-sale. I trusted that it was new. What a huge disappointment it was.
I did not complain or return it because it had been very difficult to find parking and walk to the store and I had no energy to do so again.
The easel was just ok, nothing to get excited about. I see now how overpriced it is for what you get. It’s a disappointment but requires too much time and energy to find parking again to return it. Maybe Opus has been around too long to continue its former great level of service and quality.

Great coverage bought with illustration board to create a black surface for my pan pastels. It started to warp the board a bit as it was drying but then when dry was perfectly flat.
