Fabriqué en plastique ABS extrêmement résistant, avec des couleurs audacieuses et un clip chromé brillant, ce stylo possède un grip triangulaire ergonomique, idéal pour les débutants comme pour les experts en stylo-plume.
Ce stylo polyvalent permet de changer de plume LAMY à tout moment. Il est néanmoins prêt à l'emploi grâce à sa belle plume argentée polie de taille moyenne. Le corps du stylo est doté d'une fenêtre permettant de visualiser le niveau d'encre.

I hardly need to review this pen –It's been around forever and is well liked– but I will anyway. If you are thinking of trying out a fountain pen, this is where you should start, The design feels good, balanced, and easy to control in the hand. In fact, I usually forget I'm using it as am – It's that comfortable to use. The medium nib that it comes with it is a good standard thickness for writing and mid-weight lines. I've been drawing with mine and while I am tempted to have a thinner fine-liner nearby (or perhaps even a second Safari with a fine or extra-fine nib), medium gets the job done well. I got the charcoal coloured Safari and it's worth knowing that this colour is very slightly textured at the finer groves (and all over) so it has a mildly different feel to the ultra smooth plastic coloured Safaris. I wasn't sure what I would think of it but I took a chance... and I really like the texturing. I'm hooked and I'm sure this won't be my only Safari.

Excellent product for first time fountain pen user. Add a converter when you purchase, allows chose of inks. Also, pen comes with medium nib. Really wanted fine for my purposes. Ended up purchasing second pen so I could have flexibility in line work.
Bought the red Lamy Safari pen for my boyfriend and he was so happy with it. I appreciate that someone from the Opus team got it from me from the back when the colour wasn’t readily available. Great service!
I'm trying to teach myself how to write again. A fountain pen seemed a good idea. The Lamy is pretty smooth, comfortable in the hand and, at around forty bucks it feels like I don't really have to cosset it.It's a very competent working tool.
It’s not great. It doesn’t work as smoothly as I’m used to with lamy. I’m not sure why not. I’m using the cartridge ink. Disappointed.
I like this pen.
The ink flows really smoothly, the nib doesn't feel scratchy and it's pretty easy to control. The clip feels sturdy, but the cap on mine doesn't seem to stay shut very tight. I would have preferred black ink - the default blue is nice enough. If you're wanting fine lines, you might want to get a separate nib as the base nib is quite bold. The grip is triangular, so if you are particular about your pen grips, consider trying it in store.
Overall I do enjoy writing with the LAMY safari, it genuinely feels just a little bit more fun. 4 stars for the fun and ease of writing, the minus 1 is for the cap and the barrell twisting too easily. 😊
As an architect I love using my LAMY fountain pens. Great for sketching and noting my ideas.
