Vernis Krylon Kamar - 11 oz

Vernis synthétique destiné à remplacer les vernis traditionnels à base de résines naturelles, comme le vernis damar. Transparent, il ne jaunit pas avec le temps, contrairement au damar. Le vernis Kamar offre une protection longue durée pour les peintures à l'huile, acryliques et à l'eau. Les peintures peuvent être retravaillées après application et peuvent être retirées en toute sécurité pour conservation et nettoyage. Disponible en aérosol de 325 ml.

Fantastic stuff

Great to protect my large watercolor painting, so the colors do not rub off on my hands. The spray was easy to use, no mess and the coverage was good over the whole painting. Says that it won’t yellow and can touch up after being varnished. Quite pleased with the product, I’m glad to have discovered it at Opus!

If the sealant is more than a year old ( not used at all) will it still work on oils and other media?

Hi Bev,

In the case of Krylon Kamar Varnish, its effectiveness might be affected by how it was stored during the year. Varnishes and sealants can degrade over time, especially if they were exposed to extreme temperatures or kept in unfavorable conditions. If the product was stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, it is definitely possible it could still work effectively even after a year.

However, varnishes and sealants can have a shelf life, and using an old product may lead to unpredictable results, such as uneven application, discoloration, or reduced protective qualities.

We'd recommend to test the varnish on a small sample artwork or surface before applying it to a valuable piece to see if it works as intended.
