Le solvant le plus sûr qui permet aux peintres à l’huile d’utiliser toutes les techniques de peinture traditionnelles sans compromis.
Diluation des couleurs à l'huile : Une petite quantité suffit ; les couleurs à l'huile rigides se détendent immédiatement après l'ajout d'un peu de Gamsol. Attention à ne pas trop diluer les couleurs à l'huile avec du solvant seul, car cela pourrait compromettre la capacité de la peinture à former un film.
Modification des médiums à peindre : Les médiums à peindre de la gamme Galkyd de Gamblin sont formulés avec du Gamsol, ce qui facilite leur dilution. Remarque : Le Gamsol ne doit pas être ajouté aux médiums à peindre à base de résines naturelles (dammar, copal, mastic). Ces médiums nécessitent des solvants puissants comme la térébenthine.

I had already varnished a painting that needed to be reworked and was told that Gamsol will take off the Gamvar so can be reworked. And it worked!!

Love it
Gamsol is an excellent product, but it is vastly overpriced. At 80 dollars a gallon it makes Gasoline look like a free gift. I can see no justification whatsoever for this stuff costing this much.

i am prejudiced as I really like the Gamblin products.
I have multiple chemical sensitivity and normally don't use solvents in oil painting. I tested this and didn't have a reaction. After 20 years of oil painting it's exciting to experiment with some new techniques. I like the flow it gives my paint.
