Le médium en gel Galkyd de Gamblin est le médium en gel le plus rapide de la gamme Gamblin, idéal pour les peintres à l'huile qui aiment la richesse des huiles traditionnelles mais qui souhaitent que les couches sèchent plus rapidement. Ce médium en gel épais augmente la transparence, améliore la brillance et maintient un glissant parfait sans devenir collant, ce qui le rend facile à utiliser à toutes les étapes du processus de peinture.
Idéal pour les textures en empâtement et les techniques de glacis, le Galkyd Gel aide à créer des couches lumineuses avec une excellente maniabilité. Formulé avec du Gamsol, il peut être utilisé en proportions plus élevées de couleur à l'huile pour des glacis transparents, tout en permettant de construire des passages texturés avec assurance. Les couches mélangées avec du Galkyd Gel sont généralement sèches au toucher en 24 à 48 heures. Ceci n'est pas un vernis.

Galkyd Gel is the best medium to mix with cold wax and oil if yolooking to speed drying time between layers and it also leaves a satin finish to the surface which I prefer.
Very nice medium, I use it when I need to make paint more mixable. I like it better than linseed oil or stand oil. Probably also helps the paint dry faster, but not too fast, I usually work wet in wet on wood panels or canvas.
I used Gambling Galkyd Gel in a painting with gentle reflections and subtle shadows. It glided on smoothly, and most importantly reduced drying time. Very enjoyable to work with.
I like the effect of this Gel to add to an acrylic painting to convert it and use oil after the same painting opens the potential of what we can do.

If you mix the gel with wax in a 3 pts wax to 1 pt gel, and then add that to your oil paints, you get a wonderful quick drying paint.
