Customers praised these markers for smooth application and opaque coverage on colored paper, with excellent detail work capabilities. However, some experienced clogging issues, particularly after storage or on textured surfaces. The color palette is well-regarded, and markers work best on smooth paper.
Fantastic for detail work --such as whiskers on a cat
Great. The best for opaque colour.
Very smooth for a fine tip acrylic paint marker, I'm impressed.

Both white and the black paint markers fantastic!
Both the white and the black paint markers are fantastic for detail work --such as whiskers on a cat -- when an unsteady hand won't do the job.

Solid colour on coloured paper for sure.
These pens were recommended by a store clerk who responded to my question about white felts that show up on coloured paper! They are great. The clerk felt that the COPIC ones were the best for opaque colour. It was definitely the right call.

Some people like it, but I am not one of them
I've heard good things about this pen, but mine clogged almost immediately. No better than my experience with posca paint pens. I tried to layer it over a dried watercolor painting, the paper grain was standard cold pressed. Maybe it would behave differently on a vellum or smooth marker paper.

The tips dried out after one use, but I salvaged them
I bought two, the apple green and turquoise blue. I used them, then closed the caps properly, but when I came back weeks later, the tips were completely clogged dry, nothing would come out. I ended up using a needle to pick out the clog, and that fixed it, but I really shouldn't have to do that, plus it will never be the same precise fine line as before. If they need to be stored a certain way or wiped off before you put them away, it should say so on the marker! Not sure if this happened to everyone else, but I suspect that these just don't have the best design. The colors were accurate though, and opaque, so points for that at least! I would not repurchase, though.

Very smooth for a fine tip acrylic paint marker, I’m impressed. Love the colour palette available also.
