It can be used in subtle ways yet my eyes are redirected in the parts of the painting that I've highlighted. Lovely!
Still experimenting with these water soluble pastels….the Opus demo on Caran dache Neo color was very inspirational.

had some fun swatching and quick sketching and may get more colours....need more time on the tool...other than being pricey i think i'll make them part of my recreations....

Much more delayed and less of a release of pigment when wetted than a soft pastel, and offers a finer line than a soft pastel. Using for drawn elements within layered abstract acrylic and drawn (pastel and crayon) paintings, and the crayon lines are great for the finer detailed areas. Great price, too. Highly recommend.
