Customers praised this mixed media pad for its versatility with pencil, ink, watercolour, and collage. "No bleed through" despite heavy ink use, "excellent" perforation for clean page removal, and "top notch" paper quality were highlighted. The size is "perfect" for card-making. Some noted it's "okay but not as good as watercolour paper" for watercolours specifically.

I used to get another brand (more expensive) in a size no longer available, so I gave this a try on recommendation from the staff. It's excellent. The size is perfect for what I often use it for (folding in half to make greeting cards.) The paper is a bit thinner than the other brand I used, but it is still plenty thick, in fact I prefer it a little thinner, folds easier but is still plenty sturdy enough. And so far, no bleed thru (using ink pens, and water-based brush pens.) The paper is has a good brightness, not glaring, but enough for good contrast. Also, the perforation is excellent, holds together well, yet is super easy to tear off cleanly. The backing paper board is very thick and sturdy. AND the price is super good!

My daughter handed down this mixed-media pad to me. I like it for pencil sketching, and for practice doodles which I have to do a lot of! For watercolour pencils and watercolours, this paper is okay but not as good as watercolour paper.

I switched from their Universal sketch to mixed media. Pencil and water colour and FW inks all work beautifully.
I bought this product from Opus downtown Vancouver. It has serves as my back board for collaging. I am really happy with it's functionality for mixed media collages. I would recommend this product to anyone serious in mixed media collages.

I use these for collage, ink, pencil, and charcoal. It’s an especially nice convenience that pages can be removed without any tearing— they come out with a clean line.
The Canson XL is absolutely massive in size and allows for plenty of free space for good sketches and inkings. The paper quality is top notch. Despite heavy ink usage on one side of the page, the other side has not one sign of bleedthrough. Solid paper if you are willing to spend the money on something good.
