Bâtonnets d'huile Sennelier
Ce produit permet une approche différente de la peinture à l'huile. Il élargit la liberté d'expression de l'artiste, lui permettant une plus grande spontanéité et une plus grande expression.
Le bâton d'huile est réalisé avec de la peinture à l'huile. Une partie de l'huile est remplacée par une cire minérale neutre, ce qui lui confère son aspect et sa consistance. Ces couleurs sont d'une qualité irréprochable : des pigments purs sont broyés dans des huiles végétales sélectionnées pour leur faible jaunissement. Le choix et la forte concentration des pigments assurent une excellente résistance à la lumière. Ces couleurs peuvent être appliquées sur des supports de peinture à l'huile conventionnels, préparés pour l'utilisation avec des huiles.
Pour une utilisation sur toile, carton toilé, panneaux stratifiés et papier. Les couches peuvent se chevaucher, comme pour la peinture à l'huile en pâte, et peuvent, si nécessaire, être diluées avec de l'essence de pétrole ou de la térébenthine. Avant utilisation, il convient d'éliminer le film superficiel. Ce dernier se reformera après quelques jours de non-utilisation. La peinture appliquée sèche en 2 à 5 jours selon l'épaisseur de la couche et les conditions atmosphériques.
Disponible en teintes opaques ou transparentes, selon les pigments utilisés. Ce produit peut être stocké longtemps et ne nécessite aucune attention particulière, si ce n'est d'éviter les sources de chaleur qui pourraient l'endommager. Une fois sèche, la peinture peut être vernie comme une peinture à l'huile classique, après un temps de séchage minimum de 6 mois, avec un vernis de finition pour peinture à l'huile.
Disponible en format standard (38 ml) et grand format (96 ml, certaines couleurs uniquement).
Customers praise these oil sticks as "soft, creamy, wonderful to work with" with vibrant pigment and versatile blending. They dry faster (1-2 days) than competitors and create great lines. However, some note the titanium white lacks opacity, and cost concerns exist as the sticks are expensive for regular use.

Excellent product, easy to use and adds a nice sense of movement to a piece. Decent pigment - very bright and not too soft. Can easily create different effects with a rag or brush to blend the pigment. Love drawing with these sticks over an acrylic back painting.
Pretty good but not as juicy as the R&F. I thought the titanium white would be more opaque.
Picked this one up to go along with the tabby cat set of oils I got. Super fun vibrant colour - loved the bigger size as well
Lovely to use and lays down great lines.
On numerous occasions I have worked with Sennelier & other brands of oil sticks. Each time, I have been enthusiastic about making beautiful works. Always I return to oil paints after only one painting, because of the prohibitive cost of the sticks. It’s not like Sennelier oil paints are inexpensive, but they go much, much farther than the sticks do. (Sennelier oils are lovely, but there is no supplier in my city.) If Sennelier & other encaustic art supply companies want to sell their oil sticks, they need to make them viable for artists.
Soft, creamy, wonderful to work with
They are wonderful! An affordable alternative to R&F Oil Sticks. Not quite as much pigment load, but close. Also, they are harder, so they can articulate more lines more clearly. Also, they dry quicker, sometimes 1–2 days. R&F sometimes take too long in my opinion, 7-10 days. Makes for a lot of waiting if you wish to layer with these oil sticks. Highly recommended!
