Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival: Plein Air Painting ClassesFebruary 3, 2011
Celebrating the magnificent awakening of spring, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival presents En Plein Air Blossom Painting classes every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm at VanDusen Botanical Gardens, between April 2nd and April 23rd, 2011. Working outdoors at one of the most beautiful gardens, plein air inspires both novice artists and those who are more seasoned and searching for a new approach to their art. It is a chance to discover nature’s ever-changing light, colour, form and composition while developing a personal style of painting. As a plein air master, Alfonso Tejada’s focus is to present artists with a variety of tips and techniques to painting outdoors, using watercolour, pastel, oil and acrylic.
Experienced plein air instructors and members of the Federation of Canadian Artists include Janice Robertson, Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki, Alan Wylie, and Alfonso Tejada. The cost is $45 per class or $175 for all four sessions.
