Known for their exceptionally smooth and buttery consistency, these professional paints offer pure pigments in a 100% acrylic emulsion.
GOLDEN’s Heavy Body Paint provides excellent permanency and lightfastness, and is also free of fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners, and dyes.
Each colour’s formula reflects the quality of the pigment: colours with a higher pigment load will dry to a more opaque, matte finish, whereas colours that are more reactive and require a lighter pigment load will tend to dry with a glossier, more transparent finish. The gloss of each colour will vary, as GOLDEN Heavy Body colours contain no matting agents.
94 of the 101 colours within the line are considered excellent in lightfastness (the ability to withstand color change due to exposure to light). The remaining 7, the two Naphthols, Hansa Yellow Light, Permanent Green Light, Dioxazine Purple, Green Gold, and Primary Yellow, are rated very good for lightfastness.
The Cadmium colours are especially sensitive to the combination of light and moisture, so outdoor use of these colours should be avoided.
