Gamblin FastMatte Alkyd Oil Colors are formulated to give oil painters a fast-drying (18-24 hours in thin layers) oil colour with excellent working properties and permanence. The balanced colour palette allows for great colour mixing potential. When used for underpainting, the matte surface allows for maximum adhesion with subsequent layers. Because of their low to moderate oil content, they are suitable for underpainting when painting ″fat over lean″. All colours (with the exception of White) are transparent to semi-transparent in nature, which can create the tonal range important for underpainting techniques.

Gamlin Fastmatte Oil

regardless of it's merits it is so difficult to squeeze out of the tube= have bought a few now (white) and honestly one has to stand on the tube to get it out sufficiently. As much as I love Gamlin I buy the M Graham quick dry white becasue it actually comes out of the tube without the difficulty of Gamlin.
