Present your work in style while protecting it with museum quality mats.

Our Archival Museum Mats come in a pre-cut format in standard sizes. More economical and convenient than custom matting and easy and simple to use, just select the size you need.

They come with both a museum quality front mat and back mat, and include acid-free adhesive tape for hinging the front mat to the back, all packaged in a re-usable glassine bag.

Made using 1% cotton fibre Peterboro Museum matboards. They adhere to both FACTS and the Fine Art Trade Guild’s stringent specifications for museum (1% cotton) matboards. These naturally acid- and lignin-free, calcium carbonate buffered mats have solid colour throughout their traditional 4-ply construction.

Why choose archival quality matting?
While modern manufacturing techniques have allowed for the purifying of wood fibres into alpha cellulose (the highest form of fibre purity), matboards made of cotton still remain the choice for many fine-art framers. Fine art prints on cotton papers have remained vibrant and intact for centuries, proving cotton’s benefits. For this reason many museums and framers feel that cotton is not only a time-honoured tradition, but provides the comfort and assurance that matted artwork will be preserved for future generations.

Quality and helpful

I came in needing to find a frame for an unusual sized photo print.

Oops staff helped me to find what I needed, offered to mount it for me, but also taught me how to mount the photo properly in the frame, using quality archival products for anything touching the photo. It was an awesome emotive and I’m extremely pleased with the results.
