Eileen Fong

Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists

Eileen Fong applies the basic discipline of Chinese painting to express her love of nature. She enjoys letting her spontaneous brushstrokes give expression to the images that sift freely through her thoughts. Previously a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and a Medical Technologist, Eileen has an avid interest in exploring and creating. Her artistic path has made more interesting by combining other media such as Acrylic and Encaustic Wax Painting using broad strokes of melted wax. As an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and many of the Arts Councils in B.C., Eileen has shown her artwork in many solo and juried exhibitions in Canada, the U.S.A and Spain. Her paintings have received several awards which include First Place at the Juried Arts 2006 Exhibition of the Surrey Arts Centre and Fist Place in the ArtsPacific 2002 Exhibition of the Delta Arts Council. In 2007, she ventured as a children book illustrator and illustrated The Dream Jar, a Japanese Folktale.
