Beverly has been painting for 11 years. She works with a variety of mediums, however the majority of her work has been mixed media acrylic painting on an applied plaster-based surface and in the last 6 years, encaustic painting. Inspired by lines, colours, patterns and textures found in rocks, trees, plants and the surrounding raw earth she attempts to show the interconnectedness of all things in the environment. Layering of colours and textural images depict the complexity of nature and the landscape. Her goal is to reveal patterns seen in the microcosm that are found repeated in the macrocosm.
