Come watch Mission artist and educator Kathy Baker demonstrate how she works with liquid watercolour and masking fluid to create paintings with rich, harmonious colour.

She will demonstrate her techniques for choosing appropriate imagery, creating a value plan, drawing and transferring imagery to paper, masking, diluting paint, pouring, and finishing an image.

Space is limited and registration is required.

Kathy Baker lives and works in Mission, BC , where she teaches high school and Advanced Placement art, while making time to pursue her own work. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists whose work has been shown in the International Watercolour Society’s First Canadian Biennale, and the Canada 150 show. She has recently held her first solo exhibition, at the Rock Family Gallery, at the Mission Arts Centre.
