Staying Fresh With Chalk Pastels with Judy Osiowy

Location:
Coquitlam
Sun, January 27, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Sun, January 27, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Avoid overworking your soft pastel paintings and learn how to keep your pastel works fresh.

Judy will be working on a floral scene from life using a coloured background in order to explore working from a middle ground colour while incorporating shadows and highlights. To make the colours pop, she will make use of complementary colour schemes and negative space in order to keep the piece fresh and not overworked.

Space is limited and registration is required. Please visit Opus Coquitlam or contact them at 604‑545‑0410 to register.

Judy has been using conte and pastels for portraiture, still life, as well as landscapes since art school, for over 40 years. She also works in watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media, and teaches art classes through her studio/gallery in Pitt Meadows. Her work is collected on an international level and prints of her work are exhibited in hotels, offices, restaurants and residences, carefully chosen by interior design firms.
