Painting Trees and Foliage with Ann Willsie

Sat, July 21, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Sat, July 21, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

How many of us have tried painting trees, only to be frustrated by the end result – every leaf looks like a dot of paint, all the same size, all the same colour? How do you get the depth into your foliage and the highlights on the leaves? And what colour is that trunk anyways?

Come out and watch Ann as she paints a Ponderosa Pine from scratch! Discover how to block in the shapes first, then add the darks to start off the process, followed by the midtones, and finally adding highlights. Ann will also be talking a little about the colours used to create realistic tree trunks and leaves.
