The final stages of a landscape painting can be challenging to negotiate. How can you make your painting convey that beautiful vision you see in your minds’ eye?

Common problems include flatness, lack of flow throughout the composition, and lackluster brushwork. Using a photo-source of landscapes from her recent travels in Italy, Val will share tips on breaking through these challenges and demonstrate how to accentuate focal points and create more depth and movement in your work.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Granville Island or contact them at 604‑736‑7028 to register.

A finalist in the Royal Bank Painting Competition, Val has taught at the Shadbolt Arts Centre, Red Deer College, Emily Carr University, and Vancouver Island School of Art. She loves sharing the joy of painting and drawing, and has five-star reviews and1800+ students with her online painting course with Craftsy.
