North Vancouver
Sat, March 24, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Sat, March 24, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

March 5, 2018 – Please note: The 2 PM demonstration has been cancelled. There is still space in the 10:30 AM demonstration.

Join architect and artist, Hanna Benihoud, as she demonstrates her step-by-step process from how she gets from a sketch to her final piece. Within her process she will cover finding a site and surveying it, using computer programmes to 3d model your idea at scale, and prototyping an idea to test its limits before the build.

She will also talk about the importance of understanding the community your are engaging with your public art piece to make sure it is relevant and how to tackle a large scale public installation piece using a wide variety of mediums.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604‑904‑0447 to register.

Hanna is an artist and architect inspired by the process of making things and is passionate about creating spaces for people to experience. Creating large scale installations that tell a story or unite a community is a labour of love that is always worth the work. Each piece of work is a design challenge to Hanna, therefore, the media she uses is ever changing depending on what best suits the project both structurally and conceptually.
