Gnarly Trees in Encaustic with Angela Hansen

Angela Hansen will demonstrate her process for creating gnarly, ancient, "witchy" looking trees in encaustic.

She will show how to transfer drawings onto encaustic and add details with a variety of other mediums in creating these trees. The methods used in this demonstration can be used for other subject matter as well.

Angela Hansen is a Lake Country-based artist and instructor. She completed her BDes at ECUAD and her BEd at UVic. Angela creates primarily with encaustics and her work is recognized for its organic-inspired imagery, sculptural qualities and use of texture. Angela is very interested the human psyche and that which cannot be seen; that which exists through experience, time, and change.
