Glowing Colour Using Acrylic Paint as Watercolour with Anne Bowen

Sun, March 4, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Sun, March 4, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

January 9, 2018 – Please note: Both of these demonstrations are now full and no further registration will be taken. Thank you for your interest!

The primary focus of the demonstration will be the use of transparent paint to achieve glowing, rich color and subtle value transitions.

Using the light from the white of the gesso, rich colors can be achieved by applying several thin coats of specially formulated transparent paint as well as more opaque paint applied as watercolor.

Anne hopes the demo will inspire attendees to experiment with transparent colors and experience new possibilities in their work.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Victoria or contact them at 250‑386‑8133 or toll free 1‑800‑524‑6555 to register.

Whether representational, interpretative or impressionistic, Anne Bowen’s work is constantly evolving and maturing. Acrylic paint allows for spontaneity as well as careful and considered work in both watercolor and textural effects. Starting with the classical underpainting and building with many layers; a vibrant palette, strong compositions and attention to values, help create the dynamic and contemporary feel to her work.
