Glazing Techniques for Acrylics with Jan Crawford

Fri, April 27, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Fri, April 27, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Discover techniques for preparing the canvas surface, using self-leveling gel and the materials associated with glazing.

Charts and stages of the glazing process will be shown so students can see how transparent colours affect a painted ground.

This glazing technique uses many layers of transparent colour that are added to layers of acrylic - perhaps ten or more layers! This builds up the canvas and creates amazing colours as a result of layering and how the painting evolves from transparent colour to an opaque painting. This technique can be applied to both a new painting or a current one that you’ve already started!

Space is limited and registration is required.
