Join Roxsane as she introduces you to the world of Japanese torn paper art: chigiri-e.

Discover the various materials needed, the different paper types, and how to properly tear your papers. Roxsane will also discuss different collaging methods and how you can create collages with different media such as acrylic paint -the possibilities are endless!

Roxsane K. Tiernan is a Burnaby, BC artist who explores many media, experiments with new techniques and enjoys color, texture and spontaneous creations. Her favorite medium is Chigiri-e, a Japanese torn paper technique using washi paper. People usually think the artwork has been created with watercolours or oils. Her work can be seen on www.MyArtClub.com under Artist Tiernan, Roxsane, Grp4Art, and Burnaby Artist's Guild. She is also a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and has been President of Burnaby Artist's Guild for 8 years.
