Come and learn bookbinding techniques with Suzan!

Only in the last century has leather alternatives been used for bookbinding, however, Suzan will demonstrate how genuine leather, though not always the most economical option, brings out the best in different bookbinding structures. Suzan will be demonstrating romanesque, medieval, and case binding methods.

Suzan Lee is a local bookbinding instructor who learned her bookbinding skills at the Center for Book Arts in New York. She is affiliated with the local chapter of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG). She has been teaching bookbinding for over 10 years. Her interest in bookbinding started with her fascination with the wide range of materials and structures involved in binding books.
