The Art of Mental Health with Amy Frank

Sat, January 12, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Sat, January 12, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

January 8, 2019 – Please note: Both of these demonstrations are now full and no further registration will be taken. Thank you for your interest!

Join Amy for a demonstration where the primary focus is to see her techniques and to discuss how art has evolved and aided her mental health journey.

Through sample images, Amy will show how her work has transformed into what she is creating today - From being taught realism as a youth, to warping in her teens when she started showing bipolar symptoms.

Amy will be demonstrating watercolour pencils combined with water soluble ink pens, as well as coloured pencils and archival ink pens. She will show how she uses them, combines them, and why she includes patterns in her pieces. It is Amy's hope that attendees will walk away knowing more about watercolour pencils and coloured pencils, as well as open the door for positive discussions around the power of art on mental illness.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Victoria or contact them at 250‑386‑8133 or toll free 1‑800‑524‑6555 to register.
