Lorna Moffat will show examples of her textural fabric collage work and discuss the process of creating unique surfaces using fabric and her sewing machine. She will demonstrate the art of taking the smallest scraps of fabric, old and new, and cutting, bonding and layering and stitching them together to produce the most wonderful surfaces and imagery both decorative and narrative.

Lorna is a Scottish textile artist who graduated from the Glasgow School of Art and since 1987 has been in business creating one off pillows, blankets, wall hangings for clients around the world. Since moving to Vancouver in 2012, she is an active member of the Circlecraft cooperative and sells her unique, whimsical, colourful pillows at exhibitions and galleries around the city and also from her studio in North Vancouver.
