Turn on the lights in your art! Bigger, brighter, light translates into better paintings. White is just shades of grey.
Alex Fong’s watercolour world stirs the imagination with a kaleidoscope of light and colour, and a bouquet of wonder and whimsy. It is a paradise where bountiful orchards, vineyards and gardens teem with birds and animals. It’s a fanciful place where one might see a painted cow ambling through a crosswalk, or an elephant drifting across a summer sky. This is a world that Alex Fong conceived over thirty three years ago when he discovered his passion for art and embarked on a life-long, painter’s journey. Alex’s early works reflected a traditional oriental technique. As his talent flourished, Alex developed a personal style that has since become his hallmark. His translucent and impressionistic paintings are distinguished by a parade of coloured flecks that he calls ‘confetti’, to represent his celebration of life. The result is an exquisite balance of spontaneity and grace.
