Come and gain a deeper understanding of different ways to paint deep skin tones realistically! Opus staff Tasman will demonstrate the process of mixing and painting deeper skin tones in acrylics. She will teach attendees about application on surfaces, seamless blending techniques, the role of under painting and she will also go over her favourite colour palette for this subject matter. She will guide you step by step on how to start a piece with under-painting to achieve a glowing effect, and then follow it through to the final piece using a combination of dry and wet brush techniques.
Tasman is known for her stylized realism, her use of colour, and her illustrations. After receiving her post-secondary education, Tasman decided to take a break and explore the post-academic world of fine arts. Most of her artwork has to do with being a person of colour in Canada. She has worked for Opus Art Supplies at the Langley location for 3 years, so there is a high chance you have been helped by her in store!
