Join Alexandra Reid and learn how to image transfer and hot fusion collage!
In this demo, we will explore the medium of collage (meaning ‘to glue’ from the French word “coller”). But rather than getting wet and sticky with our creations, we will be using a fusion technique involving polymer medium gloss and a hot tacking iron to attach our papers to our support. No wrinkles, no mess, and no fuss to creating fast and easy collages. We will be creating hand-painted papers and altered magazine pages for our collage materials. Additionally, we will be using black laser-printed images and text for image transfers on to our collage. Lastly, we will be attaching our paper collages onto different rigid supports for gallery display.
