GOLDEN Gels and Mediums have an exceptionally broad range of acrylic paint systems that allow artists to manipulate and expand on the possible results of their projects. This workshop is designed to enhance the artist’s knowledge and a general understanding of the various Gel & Medium and discover their unique characteristics. Participants will have hands-on opportunities to create material resources to take home Maggie is going to prepare a “Sample Book” of most GOLDEN Gels and Mediums for each participant of the workshop. This will be labelled with the name of the medium/gel, a great resource for the experimental artist! The participants will get to work with the gels and mediums themselves to see how they preform and will get to take home the samples they make.
Maggie has been serving the community with inspired programs and events for artists of all ages for over 28 years. The Reggio Emilia philosophy and methodology greatly influences her work as an art educator. She does seasonal work as an art education consultant. She is now a full time artist and teaches across B.C. She is also a certified artist educator with the GOLDEN artist paint company. Maggie is a founding member of Arts and Play Society, a non-profit organization that supported pedagogy of play and art education. She is also a member of the National Art Education Association as well as a part-time employee of Opus art supplies in Granville Island.
