Drawing Practice Essentials – A Visual Bootcamp with Mark Anthony
February 27, 2021
In this demonstration, skilled artist and instructor Mark Anthony will share his intuitive and intelligent approach to drawing the world around us! In Mark’s words…
The act of manual drawing is our most immediate response to our visual world as it equally challenges our intellectual and intuitive interpretation, our visual comprehension and our ability to efficiently express what we see. These are very good reasons for any artist to practice manual drawing regardless of the preferred medium of interest.
Join Mark as he guides you through the practice regimen he uses prior to embarking on his personal drawing practices, as well as before his live demonstrations and classes each week. Come ready to draw and learn. Attendees should come with a small drawing pad for sketching and note taking. You will learn a step-by-step approach to observing, interpreting, measuring, idealizing, and executing several key traditional studio study models. For creative individuals of all levels – this fantastic demo will begin from a blank paper. We look forward to seeing you there!
