Drawing From Your Imagination with Tamara Bond

January 22, 2020

Wednesday, January 22 1:30 – 3:00PM

Workshop fee: $15.00

Using mixed media, this demo will focus on how to build a narrative style drawing, by drawing out ideas and images that come to mind during the art making process without editing or judging them. This is a way of imaginative drawing that uses an unplanned approach to picture making. I will demonstrate how to build the composition from a single idea/image by drawing from the imagination or unconscious.

Tamara Bond lives and works in Victoria B.C. on the lands of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. She makes mixed media collages, drawings, paintings and books that reflect her interior, imagined world. Tamara is represented by Madrona Gallery in Victoria BC and she is teaching a class on Drawing the Unconscious at The Vancouver Island School of Art for the winter semester.
