Something profound happens when the hand, heart and mind work in harmony. Discover techniques to liberate yourself from the pressures of ‘being an artist’. Explore mark making. Current research demonstrates that by allowing your heart and spirit to be caressed by intuition and play you’ll relax into calming moments of introspection that enhance physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
Susan began an ongoing exploration into her own creativity through the art of intuitive painting or what Susan now calls, The Art of Becoming. It has been a journey into the deeper reaches of her soul that has nourished her heart and opened her being to creative potential. Susan’s journey has shown her the importance of recognizing and developing the creativity that dwells within each of us and how that can be central to our sense of well-being. After receiving the City of Kelowna 2016 Honour In The Arts award, Karen is inspired to further encourage emerging understanding of Creative Wellness. She has been on the advisory board of the Arts Health Network Canada since its inception in 2008. Since 2011 Karen has edited the online publication Sage-ing With Creative Spirit, Grace and Gratitude www.sageing.ca, a quarterly publication sharing stories of creative engagement from international contributors.
