Laine will talk about composition, colour, texture and value. She will demonstrate adding art papers to enhance a piece and how to add other items to create texture. To finish the demo, Laine will discuss how she has created the other pieces that will be available to view during the demo. Participants will enjoy discussion and demonstration on the use of collage in creating a mixed media piece.
I live, work and create art in Lake Country BC. I have always had a passion for art even as a young girl. As part if my post-secondary training at the University of Alberta I took art courses in drawing, sculpture and printmaking. After university I took courses through the University of Extension, Fine Arts Program. I have been seriously developing as an artist over the last 10 years. I do realistic, semi-realistic and abstract pieces. I have my own art studio and provide workshops in use of alcohol ink and collage. When I create, I go to another place; I close the door and listen to soft inspiring music. I get lost in the process of creating. I experience inner joy.
