Space To Create
Welcome to Space To Create, a fun new way to help you keep your resolution to make ‘making’ a priority this year.
Doodle or draw, paint or paste! We are excited to provide creative exercises offering you a small space for creative play.
Pack your coloured pencils, watercolours or any other media you love – and take your art with you this summer! This Space To Create assignment is to make a “summer holiday” postcard, inspired by summertime and relaxation.
And check out our Opus How-To Videos and How-To Handouts, register for a Visiting Artist Workshop or Demonstration at Opus, or visit our store and browse our book selection. You'll also find great information online from BC artists such as Sandrine Pelissier with ideas and techniques you can try to make watercolour and mixed media postcards.
Just click on the PDF icon above to view the full assignment.
Have fun making your postcard, then snap a photo and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, then send your postcard to a friend (or even to your friends at Opus... we love mail, too!). We’ll share your creation with the world in our online gallery!
