Capturing Water in Oil with Murray Phillips

Murray will outline and demonstrate a step by step process that is applicable to both acrylics and oils which can help in dealing with the difficult subject of painting water.
Murray has been painting for 40 years. He is a Master Artist and one of the founding members of the WestGuild, an accrediting body honouring Western Canadian Landscape and Lifestyle Artists who have made significant contributions towards connecting people, community and art.

In Oil Mediums 101 you will be educated on the different Oil mediums we have available and their various uses in Oil painting. After some basic instruction you will be able to work with and experiment with the various mediums and discuss any questions or problems you many encounter.

You will be provided with all materials needed to experiment and work with during the class. You will also be given some tools and substrate to take home to try for yourself.
