Join Dene for a discussion on the importance of working with models, correct lighting and composition. A demonstration of the grisaille technique, and the building of a flesh-tones palette will provide the foundation for this demonstration. Dene will also be discussing an academic approach to painting the figure in oil, some art history. By talking about and demonstrating his technique, Dene will provide an in-depth explanation of the backgrounds that he builds and the importance of preparation and use of tonal value underpainting.
